hao handbuilt effects

hao handbuilt guitar effectsOver the past few years HAO effects have become the pedal of choice for many of Japan’s most respected guitarists. The reasons for this are simple – unparalleled sound quality coupled with simple yet bullet-proof design features that allow the user to focus on creating music rather than tweaking knobs. Painstakingly built by hand, each HAO unit is a cosmetic and functional work of art that features the highest quality components and construction techniques available in order to assure maximum performance. Godlyke is proud to add the line of HAO hand built Effects to our ever-growing roster of quality guitar accessories.

From HAO Premium Workshop in Japan comes the new standard in outboard Bass Preamps – the HAO Bass Liner.  Co-designed by Phil Jones of Phil Jones Bass, the Bass Liner offers all the features that the working bassist needs and none that they don’t.

The Bass Liner’s simple-yet-effective user interface invites intuitive tone-tweaking that’s equally at home on stage or in the studio, while its gorgeous Aurora-Blue finish would make any luxury automobile jealous!

The Bass Liner’s Level Control offers up to +10 dB of signal boost while the Input Gain Control allows optimization for use with any instrument or electronics.  Add girth to a thin-sounding instrument or boost your volume to cut through the band during that all-too infrequent Bass solo section!

The audio quality of the Bass Liner’s tone-shaping circuit is typically reserved for high-end rack gear that is prohibitive in both price and portability.  Each voice of the 5-band EQ offers hi-fidelity and wide dynamic range with 18 dB of cut/boost at 50 Hz, 160 Hz, 630 Hz, 2.5 kHz, and 12 kHz - the key frequencies for proper voicing of any Bass instrument.  At center detent positions these Controls offer a perfectly flat response and have absolutely no affect on an instrument’s inherent tone.

The Bass Liner runs on a single 9 Volt battery or it can be run from a 9-18 volt (tip-negative polarity) DC adaptor such as the PA-9 Power-All.  Higher voltages offer a wider dynamic range and add more punch and clarity to the low-strings of extended-range instruments.

True Bypass switching offers clean, uncluttered bypassed sound while the Mute switch allows for silent tuning via the secondary Direct Output jack.

The HAO Bass Liner is a must-have for the discerning bassist looking to improve their tone without complicating their rig or over-taxing their wallet.  Simple, portable, powerful – the HAO Bass Liner covers all the basses!

"For a bassist “on the go” this pedal is well worth it; the ability to control the tone, regardless of the amp being used, is a godsend, and considering it’s small enough to fit into a gig bag, the price is well worth it." - Performer Magazine
