    INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

    • Mounting surfaces must be free of grease, dirt, loose particles, and moisture.
    • Mounting surfaces must be smooth, even and stable.
    • Metal surfaces should be cleaned with Acetone prior to mounting.
    • Plastic & lacquered surfaces should be cleaned with Lighter Fluid prior to mounting.
    • External temperature should be approximately 68° F (20°C) while applying Power-Grip.
    • Cut two identically-sized strips of Power-Grip to the desired length.
    • Fasten one strip to the object to be mounted and the other strip to the mounting surface.
    • Press tape down firmly and evenly – use of a pressure roller is recommended.
    • Use additional pairs of strips as needed for a stronger grip.
    • For maximum adhesion, expose the adhesive to hot air (140°-180° F) for at least 2 minutes after mounting.
    • Allow at least 24 hours for the Power-Grip adhesive to set.
    • Press the two Power-Grip strips together and GRIP!

    NOTES REGARDING USE

    • The Power-Grip adhesive backing will form a permanent bond over time. Once this occurs, Power-Grip may damage painted surfaces or leave adhesive residue if removed. Residue can be removed with Acetone or Lighter Fluid.
    • Power-Grip adheres best to smooth surfaces such as coated metal or plastic. It will not adhere well to very rough surfaces such as unfinished wood, etc.
    • When in doubt, test adhesion to the surface FIRST using a small piece of Power-Grip.
    • We do not guarantee that Power-Grip will be suitable for all applications and we do not take responsibility for loss or damage to property due to improper use/mounting of Power-Grip.

Having used industrial Velcro for decades, I've switched to Power Grip. It holds better, it wears better, and it is more resistant to dirt. It costs a little less than comparable dual lock, so get it and support the music gear industry. Please follow the
instructions. I cleaned the Velcro gunk off my Pedaltrain board using lighter fluid, a rag, and patience, before putting on the Power Grip. On a clean metal surface, and applied properly, the adhesive is just stupid strong.

Isn't think 3M Dual Lock with a different backing? [Response: One difference between Power-Grip and Dual Lock is the stem count - specifically the number of mushroom head fasteners per square inch. Power-Grip has a lower count than Dual Lock - it's the
best of both worlds. With Power-Grip, your pedal grips firmly to the board, but it's definitely easier to remove because of the lower stem count. Also, the Power-Grip adhesive...it cures to the pedal and pedalboard in 24 hours, forming a permanent bond...the
POWER-GRIP adhesive is highly heat resistant, so as long as you prep your gear properly like in the video, our pedal board tape will adhere to it PERMANENTLY!...saving you a bunch of coin for years to come by not having to replace it.]

Buyer beware! I use hardwire pedals and it turns out the glue on the tape and the rubber on the bottom of the pedal counteract causes no bond to form with glue and pedal. I wasted a whole roll.....
[Response: Thanks for your message – the instructions for Power-Grip clearly state that the tape needs to be applied to a clean, smooth surface such as metal or plastic and will not adhere to rough surfaces such as wood, fabric, etc. (see back
of header card of Power-Grip packaging).

With all due respect, we would not consider rubber a smooth surface – it is actually fairly porous, which is why it is used to prevent slipping/skidding on pedal bottoms.

Just to be clear – Power-Grip adheres properly to smooth surfaces ONLY – not rubber, not fabric, not cloth, not other hook & look fasteners, not to small pets or children.

If you are in doubt as to whether PG will adhere to a particular type of surface, please contact us at info@godlyke.com FIRST before applying Power-Grip to the surface in question. We do not assume any responsibility for improper application of Power-Grip.]

Power Grip is hands down the best out there for pedal boards or mounting any type of gear you want to stay put.. Works really well in the back of racks when you need to mount Direct boxes etc. The price in my opinion is not a problem as Power Grip will last a lifetime!

I've been using Velcro to attach my pedals with varying degrees of success for years. Every time I've flown, there had to be some readjusment done to put things back in place. I completely covered a Pedaltrain 2 with Power Grip following Kevin's instructions exactly. You would have to weld your pedals to the pedalboard to make them more secure. Power Grip ROCKS!! It's going on my world tour 2011 and I'm confident that everything will be where I placed it at the end of the tour.

This is THE BEST PEDALBOARD VELCRO ALTERNATIVE you can get...period. I have tried them all. My pedals now stay on the pedal board no matter how radical our shows get. Power Grip is 100 times better than velcro pedalboard tape. Get a roll and you'll see why. I really like this product.

This stuff is amazing! The only draw back I have with it is I wish it was just a little cheaper, but hey you get what you pay for.

That power grip is one great product. All of my pedals are staying put and they're usually falling all over the place. I'm probably going to order another roll. Thanks
